No End In Sight For Bridge Traffic Congestion

Maryland is set to release the latest information and travel predictions for our kickoff to the 2006 season next weekend. We’ll keep you posted.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The executive secretary of the Maryland Transportation Authority, Trent Kittleman, will release traffic predictions for the summer tourism season on the Eastern Shore today.
They include predictions for travel to and from the Shore on Memorial Day weekend.
State traffic planners say there’s no end in sight for traffic congestion at the bridge, although last summer’s “Go Early, Stay Late” promotion was credited for easing jams.
Traffic planners have said 12-hour delays are possible on summer weekends in future years without a new way across the bay.
